i'd like to see
a home built from twigs
of tree for us,
or them,
not me

i'd like to set
the big Other loose,
clumped next to the man
sat next to all three

i'd like to scrap
the foundations of home,
from constructional order
of walls,
or so I'm told.

The burden of roof-tops
to help preserve my skin
or to prevent my crap i keep in bins
to spill from cupboards and tins.
I'll return to the dirt
to watch the sunflowers blossom
in a shuttered slow-motion
response of the old.

where we were born
where they were born
today
look, stare and ask,
tomorrow
yesterday
the day before
or after?

I'll ask you once
I'll ask you nicely
just answer for us all together
tomorrow...

where was i born?
where was i born?
where was I born?
